Amity specialises in the areas of alcohol, other drugs, gambling and associated areas of mental health.
The Role of Counsellor/Educator
- We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Counsellor/Educator to join our team to:
 - Provide individual counselling to clients, using evidence-informed assessment and therapeutic interventions relating to AOD, gambling behaviours and associated mental health concerns
 - Develop and deliver tailored individual therapeutic plans
 - Assist clients in setting and achieving personal and academic goals
 - Maintain accurate and confidential client records
 - Develop and deliver educational programs and workshops
 
Qualifications:
- Minimum: Diploma level qualification in Counselling, Social Work, Psychology, and/or Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD)
 - Knowledge of the local Darwin community and the community sector
 - Desirable: Bachelor’s degree in Counselling, Education, Psychology, or a related field
 - Registration with AHPRA, AASW, the ACA or PACFA
 
Prerequisites:
- National Police Check
 - Ochre card
 - Current Northern Territory Driver License
 - Ability to travel throughout the NT and work outside of normal business hours, when required
