DASA service delivery is based on the Therapeutic Community Model. This model is one where everyone is a decision maker and takes responsibility for themselves and the impact of their actions on the community.

DASA follows the harm minimisation philosophy whereby people set their own healing goals. Clients are supported to develop a treatment plan that can include a range of goals from managed and safe use through to total abstinence.
