APSAD Conference 2025
The Australasian Professional Society on Alcohol and other Drugs (APSAD) is hosting their annual conference over four days, running from Sunday 9 to Wednesday 12 November 2025.
The theme for this year’s conference is ‘Disrupting and deconstructing approaches to drug policy, research and practice’. Confirmed session topics include nicotine addiction and smoking cessation, perinatal substance exposure, and innovations and evidence in methamphetamine use. The conference will feature plenary sessions and opportunities for networking.
The APSAD 2025 Conference Program is developed by the Scientific Advisory Committee, which consists of APSAD members from various roles in the alcohol and other drugs sector, including clinicians, nurses, researchers and other professionals. This committee works closely with the First Nations Leadership Group, which includes Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander, Māori and Pasifika researchers, peers, and allied health professionals. Their collaboration ensures that Indigenous perspectives and priorities are meaningfully incorporated throughout the program.
