Screening and brief intervention workshops for the NT primary healthcare workforce ONLINE

29 Aug. 2022
Workshop Online

Per capita in Australia, the NT has the highest identified level of need for treatment for alcohol and other substance use treatment. Despite the high level of need, uptake of treatment is still limited with considerable underutilisation of some services. A key measure in increasing the rate of uptake of treatment is through Primary Health Care (PHC) facilitated screening, brief intervention and referral to treatment processes.

AADANT has engaged 360 Edge, a leading training and consultancy agency for the alcohol and other drug sector, to deliver training in these core skills for primary healthcare staff. This training will provide practitioners with enhanced skills and confidence in the use of a range of validated screening tools, brief intervention skills and referral processes.

This training is free, funded by the NT Primary Health Network delivered through 360Edge in a two-hour workshop.
