Presented by the Daniel Morcombe Foundation’s Education team, this free ACWA endorsed CPD interactive workshop will provide a critical introduction to the topic of harmful sexual behaviours.

Who is it for:

The workshop is aimed at frontline staff who directly interact with children within government and non-government organisations.  Including child safety officers, clinicians, health professionals, counsellors and educators. 

What does it cover: 

Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in activities and discussions that assist in building capacity to identify and respond to HSB with confidence.  

At the end of the workshop participants will be able to: 

• Define and contextualise harmful sexual behaviour
• Understand the differences between developmentally appropriate sexual behaviours and those that cause concern
• Respond to sexualised behaviours
• Obtain basic strategies for addressing harmful sexual behaviours in a holistic, strengths-based manner
• What to do next and how to manage harmful sexual behaviours
