The Glen Group

The Glen Group is an Aboriginal community‑controlled organisation providing culturally safe drug and alcohol rehabilitation on Darkinjung Country on the Central Coast of NSW. Established in 1994 by Cyril Hennessy, a Malyangapa man, The Glen was founded in response to the over‑incarceration of Aboriginal people and the absence of culturally appropriate healing services. Today, The Glen Group has 3 residential centres: The Glen for Men (40 beds) at Chittaway Point, The Glen for Women (20 beds) at Wyong Creek and a 9-bed transitional house for women. Together, the centres place culture, community, and connection at the heart of recovery.
