On ice: new medications, online help and better evidence

The National Drug and Alcohol Research Centre has released a presentation from Associate Professor Rebecca McKetin at the 2019 NDARC Seminar Series on Thurs, 22 August 2019.

Methamphetamine use is a growing global health concern. Associate Professor Rebecca McKetin has recently returned to NDARC, and provided an overview of her current research on methamphetamine use. This includes clinical trials of novel pharmacotherapies for methamphetamine dependence, online help for people using the drug, supporting the development of novel responses to methamphetamine use in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, and a systematic review on the mental health impacts of methamphetamine use.
