Helpful Tips to Aid Smoking Cessation for Clients

The Association of Alcohol and other Drug Agencies NT (AADANT) is releasing the second part to their smoking cessation infographic campaign. This campaign is to provide quick tips to clinicians on smoking cessation and how to approach the idea of smoking cessation with clients.

As the majority of residential rehabilitation services for AOD treatment are smoke free and others are moving towards a smoke-free environment, it is important to offer options to clients to aid their smoking cessation journey. You can access the first release of the campaign through our publications page. This campaign offered information on smoking cessation including craving management and NRT to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander clients in Darwin and Katherine.

If you would like to access any of these campaigns and have printed copies, please contact Katie Flynn project@aadant.org.au

AADANT would like to thank the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners for lending parts of their smoking cessation guidelines for clinicians to AADANT for this campaign. We would also like to thank the NTG Department of Health for their assistance.
