DanceWize Volunteer Roles - BITG May 2022

We're looking for young, fun, peer volunteers to promote safer partying for festival lovers at Bass In The Grass on May 21st. If you have a personal understanding of the health and social issues affecting doofers and dancers in the rave festival party scene, knowledge of harm reduction (or willingness to learn) and excellent interpersonal skills, check out these vollie roles!
Selection Criteria for all roles:

1.       An intimate, personal knowledge and understanding of the health and social issues that can be experienced because of drug use, especially illicit drug use.
2.       An intimate knowledge of the rave/doof, outdoor festival and club dance party scene - including an awareness of current, local drug-related issues.
3.       An understanding of harm reduction.
4.       A high level of interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal) with the ability to relate to and emphathise with others within the rave/doof, outdoor festival, and club dance party scene.
5.       Ability to commit to team meetings and training as required.
6.       Ability to work effectively and efficiently as a member of a team.
7.       Capacity to follow directions and act responsibly.
8.       Ability to work a 6-hour shift on the ground at BITG between 10am Saturday May 21st and 1am Sunday May 22nd).
9.       A commitment and passion for working with DanceWize to promote harm reduction messages to the rave, outdoor festival and dance party scene.
