Advance your AOD career with postgraduate study in Addictive Behaviours

The alcohol and other drugs (AOD) sector offers a broad range of career options and pathways. In dynamic times, it is important to be informed by the latest research, theory and practice innovations. Our course will give you the confidence and competence to make evidence-informed decisions when supporting AOD patients, clients and consumers in clinical practice and developing policy and public health responses.

Turning Point, in partnership with Monash University, offers three online postgraduate courses in Addictive Behaviours to develop your specialist knowledge and professional skills. These courses have undergone significant redevelopment for delivery in 2022 and beyond:

Each course builds upon units offered in the previous qualification and provides pathways for further study and postgraduate research opportunities in addiction. For example, the Graduate Certificate provides you with foundational knowledge and skills to recognise and respond to substance use disorders and other addictive behaviours. The Graduate Diploma builds on foundation units with core studies that develop deeper knowledge about social and cultural perspectives of addiction, and how policy and public health interventions are designed and evaluated. The Expert Master Degree offers specialist coursework and research streams in the final year of study to develop expertise that match your interests, skills and career goals. You therefore have flexibility to choose a qualification that is right for you.

Our courses are delivered online and part-time to offer the flexibility required by working professionals.

You will have the opportunity to study via facilitated modules, stream video lectures, and take part in-group discussion forums and activities, incorporating innovative educational technologies and new methodologies to enrich your learning experience.
