2nd Annual NT AOD Awards Night

The Association of Alcohol and other Drug Agencies NT would like to invite the NT AOD sector to nominate their peers for awards during the 2nd Annual NT Alcohol and Other Drug Awards night on 5th April 2022.

This event was held last year to great success and appreciation for the work the NT AOD sector does, which is why we are continuing this event again.

Award nominations will close Wednesday 3rd February 2022.

Where: Wharf One Food and Wine, Darwin Waterfront
Cost: Ticketed event, $40 (tickets will be able to be purchased in February 2022)

NT Drug & Alcohol Sector Worker of the Year (2021)

This award will be presented to a Drug and Alcohol Sector worker in the NT working for a non-government organisation (NGO) or partnered with a non-government organisation (NGO) who shows commitment, drive, perseverance, and dedication to the role. (Sponsorship secured by AADANT)

Outstanding Contribution to Youth Drug and Alcohol

This award will be presented to a Drug and Alcohol Sector worker in the NT working for a non-government organisation (NGO) or partnered with a non-government organisation (NGO) who shows commitment, drive, perseverance, and dedication in working with young people who use drugs and alcohol. 

Developing Practice Award

This award will be presented to a Drug and Alcohol Sector worker in the NT working for a non-government organisation (NGO) or partnered with a non-government organisation (NGO) who is relatively new to working in the sector and shows commitment, drive, perseverance, and dedication to the role. This person must be a new worker within the last two years. 

Significant Contribution Award

This award will be presented to a Drug and Alcohol Sector worker in the NT working for a non-government organisation (NGO) or partnered with a non-government organisation (NGO). Through longevity and dedication of service, this person has achieved significant outcomes, success and change for the NT community through direct service delivery or research and evaluation. (Sponsorship secured by CBB)

Excellence in Harm Reduction

This award will be presented to a Drug and Alcohol Sector worker in the NT working for a non-government organisation (NGO) or partnered with a non-government organisation (NGO) who is working towards minimising the harms of alcohol and drugs within their community in the NT. (Sponsorship secured by the Alcohol and Drug Foundation)

Excellence in Indigenous AOD Programs

This award will be presented to a non-government organisation (NGO) in the NT with an alcohol and other drugs program specifically for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander (ATSI) Australians. This program must have been operational in the last year and will have demonstrated innovation, excellence and contribution to minimising the harms of alcohol and other drug use for individuals and the community. NT Drug & Alcohol Treatment Program of the Year

This award will be presented to a non-government organisation (NGO) in the NT showing innovation, excellence and contribution to the health and safety of the community through an alcohol and other drug program. This program must have been operational in the last year and will have demonstrated innovation, excellence and contribution to minimising the harms of alcohol and other drug use for individuals and the community. (Sponsorship secured by Star College Australia)
