Senior Community Development Officer - Alcohol and Drug Foundation

 

· Be involved with Community Development with a not-for-profit organisation

· Full-time, Ongoing role

· FTE $82,387 to $88,647 base plus Super with generous salary packaging options available

· Based in Darwin, Northern Territory with a hybrid of WFH and in the office

The Role

 

Join an energetic team to assist in developing innovative solutions and delivering our Good Sports and Local Drug Action Team (LDAT) programs to local communities. This role helps strengthen resilience and build capacity to reduce the impact of alcohol and other drug related harm in the community.

 

This role will also promote and support the Alcohol and Drug Foundation's programs such as Local Drug Action Teams and Good Sports, exploring opportunities relating to partnership building, capacity building, and the engagement of sport clubs and communities.

 

Please note: Due to the location of communities and sporting clubs it is likely that frequent travel, driver’s licence, and a regular access to a vehicle will be required.

About You

 

You will possess and be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in health promotion or community related field with demonstrated experience in a similar community development role.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering health promotion programs with a strong community focus.
  • Excellent verbal, presentation, facilitation, and writing skills, with exceptional stakeholder management experience.
  • Self-confidence and the ability to meet KPIs/targets and succeed within a community and sports environment
  • Experience and the ability to deliver programs using a range of strategies and technologies
  • The successful candidate for this role must be willing to undergo a Working with Children and Police check.
  • Previous experience using CRM systems (experience using Salesforce will be highly regarded)
