Corporate Services Manager - BRADAAG

Barkly Region Alcohol & Drug Abuse Advisory Group (BRADAAG) is looking for a corporate services manager.

BRADAAG is an Aboriginal Corporation which delivers culturally appropriate alcohol and other substance abuse rehabilitation, treatment programs and services to assist the people of Barkly Region. 

BRADAAG endeavour to provide a safe and effective healing place that equips individuals and families with the tools to lead a healthy, sober, active and productive life by Increasing the recognition of the unique spiritual and cultural strengths of Aboriginal people to assist in healing choices and by providing leadership in the Aboriginal community in the areas of alcohol and other drug dependency.

All positions within BRADAAG are dependent upon continued government funding.

Key Functions:

  • carry out duties in accordance with BRADAAG safety policy, safety principles, corporate values and strategies.
  • possess the ability to communicate effectively and sensitively with Aboriginal peoples.
  • Provide support to employees who are undertaking further education.
  • Play a key role in researching, planning, coordinating and managing the delivery of treatment programs, will strive to build a safe and effective healing place that quips Aboriginal peoples with the tools to lead healthy, sober and productive lifestyles.
  • Manage BRADAAG induction process and ensure all staff members are trained in the induction process.
  • Possess high-level knowledge of models of care dealing with substance abuse victims, including the diseases concept of alcoholism and will have completed or willing to obtain qualifications in the areas of community services, alcohol and other drugs.
  • Provide administrative support to the CEO regarding matters of secretarial support, including preparations of reports and assisting with the acquittal of performance reports.
  • Ensure OH&S Audits and assessments are undertaken and recommendations are implemented to ensure the organisation is meeting obligations under the WH&S Act and Regulations.
  • Provide clinical supervision to SUS staff at BRADAAG.
  • Possessing knowledge of social detriments of health and cultural competence to address factors affecting the social and emotional well-being of Aboriginal people is essential.
  • The Corporate service manager is required to be On call 2 weeks in 8 and responsible for the provision of services seven days per week, ensuring they are contactable to Treatment services staffs members on duty.
  • Reports to the CEO on the delivery of treatment programs, best practices improvements and research recommendations, BRADAAG clients and progress.
  • Others duties as directed.

Additional Portfolio:

During CEO Leave periods, you may be required to act as CEO and undertake extended duties. 

Desired skills and qualifications:

  • Degree qualification in Business or similar discipline
  • Similar positions experience in Not for profit or community Health
  • Strong Leadership skills
  • Certificate IV in Community Services & AOD or willing to obtain within the first year of employment
  • can-do attitudes and handle work pressure
  • A current NT driving license
  • A current working with children check
