Alcohol & Other Drugs Program Coordinator - Kalano

Kalano Community Association is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced person for the following vacancy in the Alcohol & Other Drugs Services Team.  

Brief Summary of role: 

The Alcohol & Other Drugs Program Coordinator will facilitate access to a range of evidenced based treatments and aftercare services for clients who are completing a period of Residential Rehabilitation. 

To coordinate a number of activities undertaken within our AOD Services – admission, treatment pathways and plans, education, health, legal and social; are undertaken in a timely and appropriate manner.

This will involve building strong and influential relationships with colleagues and clients. 

The Program Coordinator will be responsible for the provision of a culturally appropriate service to all individual clients. Salary and Conditions: 

Full Time - $75,000 - $90,000 

Hours of work: 

37.5 hrs per week - Monday to Friday – 7.5 hours per day 

Selection Criteria 

• Sound understanding of the AOD Rehabilitation and Harm Minimisation principles
• Demonstrated experience in design and implementation of appropriate AOD treatment programs to Indigenous clients
• Demonstrated understanding of working in an Indigenous Organisation
• Demonstrated ability to work in a diverse team as well as unsupervised when required
• Working knowledge of Policies and Procedures pertaining to the AOD industry
• Demonstrated report writing skills including ability to give sound advice to program and clinical managers
• Good computer skills with an ability to quickly learn new online systems
• Working knowledge of Equal Employment Opportunities, Work Health Safety and Human Resource principles and practices
• Appropriate qualifications in AOD or ability to acquire
• Necessary licences including current Criminal History Check, NT Drivers Licence and Ochre Card.
